How to Get Anthropic IPO Exposure With Crypto: Pre-IPO Perpetuals, Valuation Signals and Risks

The Anthropic IPO is shaping up to be one of the largest stock market debuts on record, and crypto traders have been anticipating it for months. Before a single share trades, pre-IPO perpetual futures already let traders take leveraged positions on how the listing will perform.

If you are wondering about how to invest in Anthropic before or after it goes public, start with the basics. This guide covers what has been confirmed, how these contracts work, what their prices may signal, and the risks to understand first.

What We Know About the Anthropic IPO So Far

Anthropic filed a registration statement to list Class A shares on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the ticker ANT. The filing still leaves the price range and share count blank, so the final valuation for the Anthropic IPO has not been set.

The financials are large on both sides. First-half 2026 revenue reached $16.3 billion, up from $1.2 billion a year earlier, while the reported net loss came to $80.7 billion. Most of that loss came from non-cash accounting on convertible debt that grew more expensive on paper as the valuation climbed, not from day-to-day operations.

Governance is also unusual for anyone researching Anthropic stock. The company is a public benefit corporation, and a founder-held share class will carry 50.1% of voting power, with the company qualifying as a controlled company under exchange rules.

Anthropic IPO Date: What Is Confirmed and What Is Reported

There is no official Anthropic IPO date yet. The public filing landed on Oct. 26, with a Nasdaq listing widely expected in November, but the company has not confirmed a pricing day or first trading session.

One crypto market operator has penciled in Nov. 20 as an expected listing date, though that is its own estimate rather than a company confirmation. Treat any specific Anthropic IPO date as a target that can move, and watch for an amended filing that adds a price range.

How Pre-IPO Perpetual Futures Work

A perpetual future, or perp, is a derivative contract with no expiry date that tracks an asset’s price. Funding fees exchanged between long and short holders keep the contract close to its reference price, with longs usually paying shorts when the contract trades above that reference.

Pre-IPO perpetual futures apply the same design to a company with no public share price. Two styles have emerged: one priced by company valuation, where each $1 represents $1 billion, and one priced per Class A share, with the operator choosing the launch price. Early prices therefore reflect trader expectations, not an underlying stock.

Like stock perpetual futures, these contracts give price exposure without ownership, so there are no shares, votes, or dividends. Some venues instead offer dated pre-IPO futures with no recurring funding fees, partly because private shares are illiquid and hard to price.

Valuation Signals: What Pre-IPO Crypto Markets Are Pricing

Pre-IPO crypto markets have consistently priced Anthropic above its private rounds.

The last private round valued the company at $965 billion post-money, while perps traded near an implied $1.88 trillion within hours of the filing, with about $134 million in open contracts across more than a dozen venues.

Traditional investors look more cautious. Some current and prospective investors discussed a valuation of around $1.5 trillion after an investor event, down from roughly $2 trillion, which shows how far trader sentiment can run ahead of institutional demand.

The SpaceX listing is a reference point, not a rule. Its perp sat near $173 the day before trading, while the IPO priced at $135 and opened at $150. In September, Anthropic perps barely moved on major spending disclosures, a reminder that thin pre-IPO crypto markets do not always react to fundamentals.

Key Risks of Pre-IPO Perpetual Futures and Anthropic Stock

Leverage is the most immediate risk. The per-share contract allows up to 10x leverage and fell about 20% in its first hour, and at that level a 10% move against you can erase your margin and trigger liquidation under standard futures rules.

Thin liquidity adds gap risk across pre-IPO crypto markets. An earlier SpaceX pre-IPO contract dropped about 45% in 30 minutes and liquidated 405 users. Regulation is still forming, as US regulators approved the first perp on a regulated domestic exchange in May but noted that the design may not suit every asset class.

Listed Anthropic stock has its own risks. Lockups typically last about 180 days, and prices can fall as they expire, while Anthropic’s plan phases its lockups and lets some holders sell from day one. The ticker needs care too, because an unrelated Canadian mining company already trades as ANT.

How to Invest in Anthropic: Options Before and After Listing

For most retail traders, how to invest in Anthropic comes down to three routes.

After listing, which hinges on the final Anthropic IPO date, Anthropic stock is expected to trade through regular brokerages, subject to local access. Before listing, pre-IPO perpetual futures offer price exposure only, and US users are restricted from the main venues.

The third route is indirect exposure through partners. The prospectus names AWS and Google Cloud among its compute and distribution partners, and Amazon holds convertible notes, which links those companies partly to Anthropic’s growth.

Be wary of anyone selling private shares. Regulators warn that pre-IPO scams lean on AI hype and claims that a listing is imminent, and Anthropic says third-party offers of its shares through forward contracts or tokenized securities are likely worthless.

Trading AI Stock Perps on BTSE Around the Anthropic IPO

BTSE does not list an Anthropic contract, but it offers perps on companies tied to the AI build-out.

If you are weighing how to invest in Anthropic indirectly, Alphabet stock perpetuals and Amazon stock perpetuals trade 24/7 and track their own share prices, not Anthropic’s. BTSE stock perpetuals launched with 24/7 trading and no expiry, so positions can be adjusted when news breaks outside US market hours.

To start, create your BTSE account and complete verification.

Then transfer funds from your spot wallet to your futures wallet, which is always a manual step; set leverage conservatively since it amplifies losses as well as gains; and decide on a stop-loss before opening a position.
