The market has entered this week with strong upside momentum as Bitcoin traded around $77K over the weekend and stabilized by this Monday, Asia time. Ethereum stayed steady at around $2,400, driven by a sharp return of ETF demand as U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs received $1.9 billion of net inflows last week, while spot Ether ETFs added $697.2 million.

The Crypto Fear and Greed Index is currently at 79, reinforcing renewed optimism, as traders are optimistic about U.S. crypto market regulation and other macro factors.

What Traders Should Watch Out for This Week

Digital asset performance this week will likely be driven by a pivotal cluster of macro catalysts: the U.S. PCE price index, updated GDP figures, Nvidia’s quarterly results, and the Jackson Hole symposium. These factors act as the primary influence on Treasury yields and shifting Federal Reserve interest rate projections.

Moreover, the Senate’s planned September 15 procedural vote on the CLARITY Act is a positive medium-term catalyst, as clearer SEC and CFTC jurisdiction could lower regulatory uncertainty and support institutional participation.

Here are the major economic indicators to watch out for this week:

  • August 25: New home sales, conference bd – consumer confidence
  • August 26: Durable goods, 2nd estimate GDP, PCE price Idx, Y/Y%, PCE core price Idx, Y/Y%
  • August 27: Weekly jobless claims, wholesale inventories, retail inventories
  • August 28: Chicago PMI, U. Michigan final consumer survey
