Important Notice: Ethereum London Hard Fork (August 4)

BTSE will support Ethereum’s upcoming “London” hard fork, scheduled to take place this Wednesday, August 4, 2021, during approximately 13:00-17:00 (UTC time).

During this period, deposits and withdrawals of ETH and all ERC-20 tokens will be suspended on BTSE’s exchange and white-label platforms until further notice.

  • The London hard fork will occur at Ethereum block 12 965 000 starting at approximately 13:00 (UTC) on Wednesday, August 4.
  • Deposits/withdrawals of ETH and all ERC-20 tokens will be suspended starting at 12:00 noon (UTC) on Wednesday, August 4.
  • Trading of ETH and all ERC-20 tokens will not be affected during the hard fork.
  • Times noted above are for general reference only.

Deposits/withdrawals for ETH and all ERC-20 tokens will resume once the hard fork is completed and deemed stable. We will provide further notice at that time.

The London hard fork is considered a significant update leading up to the launch of Ethereum 2.0 and is likely to mean lower fees for users in the interim. The update had been successfully activated on the Ropsten, Goeril and Rinkeby testnests.
