Lido DAO (LDO) is a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) that is responsible for governing the Lido protocol. Lido is a liquid staking solution for Ethereum 2.0, designed to allow users to earn staking rewards while maintaining liquidity. The Lido protocol aims to address the limitations of traditional Ethereum 2.0 staking, which requires a minimum of 32 ETH and locks up assets for an extended period.

LDO is the native governance token of the Lido protocol. It can be used to incentivize various participants in the ecosystem, like node operators, developers, and liquidity providers. LDO token holders can participate in the governance process by voting on proposals related to protocol upgrades, parameter adjustments, and other important decisions that affect the Lido ecosystem. This decentralized approach helps to maintain transparency, fairness, and security within the protocol.
