Adjusting Leverage, Risk Limit, and Max Order Size for Futures: DOT, ATOM, NEAR, SOL, and DOGE Perps

Written by BTSE

May 20, 2025

Dear Traders,

Given recent market changes, BTSE will adjust the leverage, maximum order sizes, and risk limits for the following futures contracts: DOT-PERP, ATOM-PERP, NEAR-PERP, SOL-PERP, and DOGE-PERP.

AutoTrader bots for ATOM, DOT, and NEAR will also be temporarily unavailable on 5/22 and will resume once market maintenance is finished on 5/25.

Please note that all open orders, including take-profit and stop-loss settings, will be canceled during the maintenance window.

These adjustments will take effect on May 25, 2025.

Please see the tables below:

Disclaimer:

The risk limit level for trading futures on BTSE is calculated with four factors in mind: order size, initial margin, maintenance margin, and leverage. The risk level will determine if your order can be placed, along with the liquidation price.

If users have open orders with leverage exceeding the new maximum leverage after the adjustment, additional initial margin will be required for those orders.

Following the adjustment, the maintenance margin for existing positions will increase, which may also raise the risk of liquidation.

How to Adjust Your Risk Limit

1. Click the settings icon on the top right of the trading page.

2. Click the pencil icon to adjust the Risk Limit.

3. Click the Level you would like to use, then click Confirm to finalize the setting.

These adjustments have been made to better serve the evolving needs of our users, and is part of BTSE’s commitment to providing users with a quality trading experience.

Thanks for your support.
