BTSE is pleased to bring Optimism (OP) onto its platform, growing the selection of quality digital assets available to its users:<\/span><\/p>\n

Optimism (OP)<\/b><\/h2>\n

OP is native to <\/span>Optimism<\/span><\/a>, an Ethereum layer 2 blockchain that produces infrastructure to promote the growth and sustainability of public goods. Powered by a technology called Optimism rollups, the scaling solution can bundle large amounts of transaction data into digestible batches, which would be considered an alternative to Ethereum.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

OP is the governance token of <\/span>The Optimism Collective<\/span><\/a>, a governance system composed of Token House and Citizens\u2019 House. The two houses are both in charge of various decisions on the platform, where OP holders can govern upgrades to the protocol and network parameters. The token also serves as an ongoing system of incentives for projects and users in the Optimism ecosystem.<\/span><\/p>\n

OP currently has a circulating supply of around 214 million tokens out of a total of 4.29 billion, trading at <\/span>$1.10<\/span><\/a> as of July 28, 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n
