A total of 32 countries have committed to help as part of this plan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: inter; font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">And yet, this provides only a short-term solution.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: inter; font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The plan can temporarily cover the current loss of 8 million barrels per day (mb\/d) for about<\/span><\/span> <span style=\"font-family: inter; font-size: 14pt;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/houseofsaud.com\/fifty-days-of-oil-strategic-reserves-iran-war\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">50 days<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: inter; font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">But if the flows through the Strait of Hormuz are reduced to zero, the supply would only last for roughly 20 to 26 days.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: inter; font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">If the conflict is prolonged and more help is needed, global oil importers could run into trouble as non-OPEC+ producers, like the U.S., require several months to add any additional production.
