Two-factor authentication, commonly referred to as 2FA, provides an added measure of security to your BTSE account. It ensures that you\u2014and only you\u2014have the power to access your account by utilizing an authentication code produced by your mobile device.<\/span><\/p>\n

Once 2FA is activated on your account, you’ll be prompted to input a unique, time-sensitive code every time you sign in or initiate withdrawals, as well as a verification code sent to your e-mail address.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Steps to Set Up 2FA<\/span><\/h2>\n

First, log into your BTSE account and head to the \u201cSecurity<\/strong>\u201d section, which should be located on your account profile\u2019s Dashboard.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Click \u201cSet Up<\/strong>\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Install the Google Authenticator App.<\/span><\/p>\n

Get the Google Authenticator App. <\/span>Once downloaded, click \u201cGet Started\u201d.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

For iOS users<\/strong>:<\/strong> Navigate to the App Store, search for “Google Authenticator”, or<\/span><\/span> click here<\/a>.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

For Android users<\/strong>:<\/strong> Head to Google Play, type in “Google Authenticator” in the search bar, or<\/span><\/span> click here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Going back to the Security Page, use your phone\u2019s Google Authenticator app to scan the QR code under \u201cLink your BTSE Account\u201d, or copy and paste the code in.<\/span><\/p>\n

Once done, you will see a 6-digit code displayed. Paste this into the \u201c2 Factor Authentication Code<\/strong>\u201d section.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You will also receive a verification message sent to the email address connected to your account; paste the code in the \u201cVerification Code<\/strong>\u201d section on the BTSE interface.<\/span><\/p>\n

Once enabled, you will be automatically signed out.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
