MATIC was delisted from the BTSE platform last week, and will be relisted as POL tomorrow, September 13.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: inter;\">Key Dates<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: inter; font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">Deposits enabled: 6:00PM (Singapore Time) on September 13, 2024\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: inter; font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">Trading enabled:\u00a0 6:00PM (Singapore Time) on September 13, 2024\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: inter; font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">Withdrawals enabled: 6:00PM (Singapore Time) on September 13, 2024\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: inter;\"><b>Why MATIC is Transitioning to POL<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: inter; font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When Polygon first launched as <\/span><b>Matic Network<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in 2017, its primary goal was to scale Ethereum using a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) sidechain. Over time, Polygon has expanded its offerings to include zero-knowledge (zk) rollups, plasma chains, and enterprise blockchain solutions. As the platform evolved, so did the need for a new token that could support its expanded vision.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: inter; font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Enter <\/span><b>POL<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2014a &#8220;hyperproductive token&#8221; that will enhance the scalability, security, and interoperability of the entire Polygon ecosystem. POL will replace MATIC as the native token across all of Polygon\u2019s products and services. To ease this transition, MATIC holders will have four years to exchange their tokens for POL at a 1:1 ratio.
