BTSE Lists CAKE and EGLD

BTSE is pleased to bring PancakeSwap (CAKE) and Elrond (EGLD) onto its platform, growing the selection of quality digital assets available to its users.

PancakeSwap (CAKE)

PancakeSwap (CAKE) is the governance token for PancakeSwap, a decentralized AMM-based exchange built on Binance Smart Chain (BSC). Like on many other decentralized exchanges (DEXs), users can freely trade BEP-20 tokens by connecting their wallets to the platform. They can also provide liquidity and stake their liquidity provider (LP) tokens to earn rewards in CAKE.

Another use case is through PancakeSwap’s unique lottery system, which allows users to spend 10 CAKE to purchase a ticket and a chance to win half of the funds in the prize pool.

Elrond (EGLD)

Elrond (EGLD) is the native token of the Elrond Network, which provides a fast and highly-scalable blockchain platform for decentralized applications (dApps) and enterprise use cases. Also called “eGold”, EGLD has use cases in the Elrond ecosystem that include:

  • Governance: Token holders can participate in network governance through smart contracts.
  • Staking: By staking EGLD to help run the network, delegators can claim rewards daily.
  • Transaction: EGLD can be used to pay for the transactions on the network.
  • Validator rewards: Validators contributing to the ecosystem can receive rewards in EGLD tokens distributed automatically.
